SunPlace is a promoter descended from the business group Residencial Playa Flamenca and Vistabella Golf with more than 30 years of experience in the promotion and urbanization of residential complexes on the Costa Blanca, such as Torreta Florida, Punta Prima, Rocio del Mar, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, and others.

In 2017, thanks to the new impetus in the real estate sector on the Levantine coast and with several projects ready to hit the market, we created the new brand, SUNPLACE. An independent company with a renewed image but always faithful to the tradition of professional work in the field of construction and home sales, thus striving to achieve leadership in the Costa Blanca market.

WHO IS BEHIND?

Behind this promoter, you will find three prominent figures in the field of promotion and construction. Get to know them!

Alfonso Álvarez

Alfonso Samuel Álvarez González, born in Asturias, Spain, on May 27, 1946. He spent his childhood and youth in his hometown. In 1966, he emigrated to Brussels, Belgium, where he lived for 8 years and worked as the manager of hardware/carpentry at a large Belgian department store. It was there that he met his wife, María Carmen Iñiguez Fernández, and they got married on July 26, 1969.

In 1979, the Álvarez family moved to the city of Torrevieja in Alicante, where they began their journey in the real estate world. It was then that they started to invest in this sector, which they continue to develop to this day.

Since 1980, Mr. Alfonso Álvarez has carried out numerous new construction promotions in Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa. Commercially, we are known for Residencial Playa Flamenca, as it was one of the first major companies created by our founder.

Residencial Playa Flamenca has been the builder and promoter of Playa Flamenca, in Orihuela Costa. In 1980, Mr. Alfonso Álvarez invested in land that was used for artichoke cultivation, and in less than 15 years, he developed an entire city. Today, you can find emblematic places like the Orihuela Costa Town Hall, the Mercadona shopping center, one of the largest shopping centers in Europe: La Zenia Boulevard, the exclusive Don Quijote residential area in Rocío del Mar, Cala Dorada on the first line of Cabo Roig, and numerous residential developments in Playa Flamenca.

Currently, the business group consists of seven companies linked to construction, promotion, management, real estate services, and shopping centers.

His latest and largest project is the developments encompassed by the SunPlace.es brand: Residencial El Retiro (in EL PILAR DE LA HORADADA), VILLAS MIL PALMERAS (in Mil Palmeras), and Residencial Flamenca Sun. For these, he has partners Joaquín Grau and Manuel Reyes.

Joaquín Grau

An Alicante resident during his childhood and youth in the Vega Baja. Mr. Joaquin Grau grew up in a traditional family environment, and from a very young age, he has always been connected to the real estate world. His father, Mr. Joaquin Grau Pomares, was a renowned developer and builder in the southern Levant. Specifically, the professional development of Mr. Joaquin Grau Pomares took place in Orihuela Costa, where he carried out numerous urban development projects and shopping centers, as well as in the most prestigious areas of Torrevieja.

Years went by, and Mr. Joaquin Grau completed the first significant step in his professional career. In the year 2000, he graduated in technical architecture. In 2005, he expanded his career and obtained a degree as an architect, and that same year, he focused on his studies and also completed a master's degree in urban planning.

Thanks to his drive for self-improvement, in 2006, he finished a master's program in Business Administration and Management, which allowed him to manage his company in a much more efficient manner and to the optimal position he holds today.

Without neglecting his professional development, in 2018, he completed the "Advanced Management Program for Companies" master's program, specifically known as "Advanced Management Program by IE Business School."

Mr. Grau is a member of various organizations related to the construction industry, including real estate companies, agriculture, energy, renewables, leasing, architecture and urban planning, design, among others.

Together with his team, Don Joaquin Grau Roch has delivered more than 3,000 homes to satisfied customers. He has carried out various urban development projects with over 15,000 homes and numerous shopping centers.

Manuel Reyes

Manuel Reyes Grau Adsuar, an experienced architect from Alicante.

In 1992, he graduated as a technical architect, and five years later, he earned his degree in architecture.

He has been involved in the development of some of the most significant urban planning projects in the province of Alicante, as well as the execution of over 1,000 homes and various commercial centers and hotels.

Committed to environmental conservation and a staunch advocate of new technologies in construction processes, he promotes "Eco-friendly" and efficient housing.

Since the 2000s, Mr. Grau Adsuar has been actively engaged in residential, educational, commercial, administrative, and public sector urban planning.
